Fishing Report: As August reaches its end, the silver salmon run on the
Alaska Peninsula is really heating up. Guests are enjoying limit catches
by lunchtime and spending the entire afternoon Catching & Releasing dime bright
silvers. Fly fishermen are resorting to top-water fishing for these chrome
acrobats, just to add variety the what has been unbelievable fishing this week.
Local fishing for Arctic char and rainbow trout was exceptional this week among
spawning sockeye.
