King, Sockeye, Char and Rainbow Fishing
Wildman Lake Lodge
on the remote Alaska Peninsula . . .

The week of July 6 to July 13, 2008

It has been a good week for Sockeye Salmon fishing.  King fishing has been best on spinning tackle as high tides have made the river mouths wide and deep during high water and swift moving as the tides subside.  Excellent numbers of sockeye are entering Ocean River directly from the Bering Sea as well as some really big sea run char.  Fly fishermen are reporting 20 to 30 rainbow a day on wet flies.  This is traditionally one of our PEAK weeks for King and Sockeye Salmon.
