Late July Sport Fishing at
Wildman Lake Lodge
on the remote Alaska Peninsula . . .

The week of July 26 to August 2

Wildman Sport Fishing Report - Late July brings the last of the sockeye salmon out of the saltwater and into our local rivers.  There are thousands of reds walking distance from the lodge (where the brown bears fish all night) and this brings big, fat Dolly Varden and Arctic Char out of the deep and into the spawning areas for some great fly and spin fishing.  Our fly fishermen had several great days catching rainbow trout near the lodge.  A push of Pink Salmon arrive in Ocean River as well as thousands of bright Chums in some of our neighboring rivers.  Now Silvers yet, but we are enjoy good catches of still bright KING SALMON on our favorite Pacific side river.  It was a good week at Wildman!
