The week of August 23 to 30, 2009

DC Riders Rodney Fitch and Bob Severud at Wildman Lake Lodge!

Wildman Sport Fishing Report- Now in our second week of the fall silver season, anglers are enjoying catching these dime bright aquatic acrobats.  Ocean fresh Coho are arriving with every tide and the action is pretty much still confined to the lower rivers within a couple miles of the Bering Sea.  While on the upper river near the lodge, our guest are having great fishing for Arctic Char and Dolly Varden.  Rainbow Creek saw some use this week with good catches of 12 to 23 inch wild native rainbow trout on both dry and wet flies.  Bird hunters are finding record numbers of willow ptarmigan just walking distance from the lodge.  This was Dennis' and Pepe's last week for this season at Wildman.
