THE IDEAL SET UP
Whether you are simply desiring to be in nature and gain experience reeling in your line or you are looking to master your fly cast for the challenge and reward of fly fishing, we have a spot for you!
Wildman Lodge is located near the artesian headwaters of one of the finest sport fishing rivers in all of Alaska. This river flows crystal clear and maintains the same water level year-round, no matter the weather. We are able to fly or jet boat to the best waters in our area. River bottoms are typically volcanic sand here on the Alaska Peninsula.
In addition to Alaska’s five species of Pacific Salmon, wild native Rainbow Trout, bright and shiny Steelhead, Arctic Char and Dolly Varden are readily taken on both flies and lures.
Our area gets very little fishing pressure; therefore, Wildman has never experienced unexpected closures or restrictions like other regions of Alaska.

Wildman Lodge is home to some of the greatest State Licensed fishing guides in Alaska. Our guides are happy to provide casting tips and fishing instruction during your trip. The rivers provide a world-class fishing experience for serious anglers and beginners alike.
We have plenty of casting areas: shallow water and firm wading. Casting clinics can also be arranged. Your time at the lodge is a great time to learn. We have an excellent assortment of flies in the gift shop and also a fully stocked fly tying table right at the lodge. Wildman strongly advocates catch and release of our native trout species, however, we will gladly prepare one airline approved box of frozen filets for each guest.
